Skilled-Recognised Graduate (subclass 476) visa holders affected by COVID-19 international travel restrictions may be eligible for a visa extension.
This will allow eligible Skilled-Recognised Graduate visa holders to enter or remain in Australia until 14 April 2024.
Eligible visa holders will be notified directly.
ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA
To be eligible for a visa extension you must:
Note: Your Skilled-Recognised Graduate visa will not show in VEVO if you hold another substantive visa granted before 5 April 2022.
If you currently hold a Bridging visa and you are granted a visa extension, the Skilled-Recognised Graduate visa will come into effect.
If you have made an application for another substantive visa you may wish to consider whether you want to continue with that application. If you do not want to continue with your application you have 28 days to withdraw.
If you were granted a substantive visa before your Skilled-Recognised Graduate visa extension was granted, the Skilled-Recognised Graduate visa will remain out of effect until the substantive visa ceases.
If the substantive visa ceases before 14 April 2024 the Skilled-Recognised Graduate visa will come into effect for the remaining period.
The Department will notify you within one month of your current visa ceasing to advise you that your subclass 476 visa has come into effect. Once you receive the notification you will be able to check the visa details in VEVO.
If you are granted a substantive visa after your Skilled-Recognised Graduate visa is extended, this will cease the Skilled-Recognised Graduate visa permanently.
