PY expires 4 years from the date of completion for GSM

When does PY expire? 🤔

The Department has confirmed with the MIA that the PY points requirement (to complete PY 4 years before an applicant is invited to apply for a visa) relates only to the date on which the professional year “ended”.

This means that PY only expires 4 years from the date of completion.

PY is not required to be “commenced” within 48 months immediately before the time of invitation to apply for the visa, as advised earlier.
